主要研究方向：媒介史、性别史、身体史。

简历：在中国人民大学获得新闻学学位，英国剑桥大学获得性别研究硕士，伦敦大学亚非学院历史系获得博士学位。博士论文关注的是女性身体在20世纪中国的实践与再现。2013-2014年，在伦敦大学亚非学院担任助教；2011年，在中国社会科学报担任记者。焦霖博士的文章发表于多个国际期刊，包括SSCI收录期刊，同时担任SSCI期刊的审稿人。

学术研修班：2017年5-6月，以色列特拉维夫大学东亚的性别与身体；2013年11月1日，英国口述史协会口述史导论培训班；2013年9月2-4日，伦敦大学亚非学院高等教育职业发展项目培训；2013年6月3-27日，复旦大学、密歇根大学联合举办学位论文写作的有效范畴；2012年2月7日至3月6日，伦敦大学历史研究所视觉材料在历史学中的应用。

国际项目合作和访问：曾在美国汉学会年会（AAS）、欧洲汉学会年会（EACS）、英国东亚研究年会等多个国际会议发言。
